The BABY-SAFE 2 i-SIZE accompanies your baby from birth up to 15 months. Thanks to the removable newborn insert and lie-flat technology, the infant carrier offers an ergonomic position for your newborn and enough space for your little one to grow to 83 cm in height. All designed to keep your baby safe as well as comfortable on any journey.
Good to know: The BABY-SAFE 2 i-SIZE in combination with the BABY-SAFE i-SIZE BASE and BABY-SAFE i-SIZE FLEX BASE has been tested by ADAC (ADAC Online 10/2018) with a rating of “GOOD” and a grade of 1.7.

Room to grow – Suitable from birth to 15 months
BABY-SAFE2 i-SIZE has been designed to conform to the new car seat regulation ECE R129 (i-Size), and is suitable for newborns up to 15 months, so they can fit into the seat up to 83 cm in height. The infant carrier has a newborn insert for extra support, also offering energy absorption in case of an impact. The insert can be removed and the height of the headrest adjusted, allowing for more space as your child grows.
Patented lie-flat technology for safety and comfort
When it comes to car travel with small newborns, we understand how difficult it is to decide the best lying position for them. Because a small baby’s muscles aren’t developed enough, a flatter lying position is better, while a more upright position is safer in the event of an impact. The BABY-SAFE2 i-SIZE has our patented lie-flat technology offering you an easy solution – when you adjust the headrest height the lying position adjusts as well. You can achieve an even better lying position for your little one when using the infant carrier with the BABY-SAFE i-SIZE FLEX BASE in certain cars.

Easy release with CLICK & GO® adapters
The infant carrier can easily be taken off the base or pushchair so parent can remain in an ergonomic, upright position while lifting the carrier up. Simply use the handle at the back of the infant carrier to unlock it from the base or pushchair and lift it off with ease. Adapters are sold separately.
5-point harness
We believe a 5-point harness is the safest way to secure your child in a car seat because it keeps your child safe and tight in the seat’s protective shell. In the event of a collision, the harness distributes the forces of the impact across 5 points, two at the shoulders, two at the hips and one where the harness buckles between the legs. This helps to protect your child from all directions of impact.
Quick-remove cover
Things can get pretty messy on the road. Drinks can spill and children can get car sick. That’s why we designed a machine washable seat cover that can easily be taken off without removing the harness, so you can clean up quick and get on your way.
Adjustable handle
The adjustable handle allows you to easily move it to the back and place your child in the infant carrier. Simply press the buttons on each side of the handle to unlock and move it. When the carrier is placed on the floor, we recommend folding the handle back completely to prevent rocking.
Superior Side Impact Protection – SICT
Our improved SICT offers superior protection in case of a side collision in two steps. It pushes your child away from the impact in a controlled movement and then deforms to absorb energy exerted on your child. To benefit from the protection, simply adjust and adapt the SICT on the side of the car seat closest to the door.
Newborn insert
Especially designed to give extra support to small babies. The included newborn insert with removable, energy-absorbing foam pads reduces the space and offers additional comfort.
